I graduated from Nixon High School in 1987. After that, I attended Laredo Community College, where I earned an Associate Degree in Applied Science majoring in Accounting in 1998. My education continued at Texas A&M International University, where I graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts and Sciences.
I have an Associate Degree in Applied Science with a major in accounting and a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts and Sciences. I am also certified as an ELA/Reading teacher for 4th through 8th grade with a bilingual supplement.
I started teaching in 2004 and have always taught at Antonio Gonzalez Middle School. During this time, I have taught 6th and 7th grade reading and writing. This year, I will teaching ELAR, a combination of both subjects.
I am married and have three adult children, ages 29, 27, and 21; three grandchildren. ages 10, 7, and 3; and three dogs, Lola, Princess, and Bella. I had the pleasure of being my two youngest daughters’ teacher here at Antonio Gonzalez Middle School.
My hobbies are reading about Holocaust survivors and watching documentaries and sporting events, with my favorite sport being professional football. When I am not teaching, I am usually spending quality time with my three grandchildren. I also love to sit on my rocking chair under the porch in my backyard in the evenings to watch the sunset.
